This monument was originally commissioned in 2017, serving as a platform to promote Art in Public spaces, while simultaneously building community. In 2023, our Inscribe team re-designed the Eko Tag monument to tell a story of Lagos as a melting pot that brings together people from different parts of Nigeria – it is a story of unity in diversity. It is a story of culture and inclusion. It is a story that shows what it means to be Lagosian.
